B Pharma course or Bachelor of Pharmacy is 4 years Undergraduate level degree course in the field of Pharmacy, especially for those who want to practice as a pharmacist. The Pharmacy course in India is regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education).

Eligibility

  • The minimum Qualification Required for this course is 10+2, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.
  • Candidate must have studied science stream with PCM, PCB, or PCMB with English as a mandatory subject.
  • Students who have completed 10+2 qualification from non-formal based schooling such as NIOS and state-based open schooling are not eligible for the B Pharmacy course.
  • The minimum age of eligibility is 17 years. The upper age limit varies from college to college.
  • Lateral entry is available for candidates who have completed their D Pharm course.

Admission Process For B.Pharma

  • In order to take admission for a B.Pharma course in any Government or Private colleges, candidates need to appear for different state and national level entrance exams.
  • Few colleges and Universities provide direct admission for B.Pharma course on the basis of a 10+2 examinations score.
  • Candidates who have completed their Diploma in Pharmacy can go for Lateral entry in the second year. For Lateral entry candidates, the course duration is of 3 years.
