NOTICE: The last date to apply for this National Means-Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme is 15 November 2021 and Institute verification’s last date is 15 December 2021.
Under this scheme, 1,00,000 scholarships are awarded to meritorious students. Each state/UT has a quota of scholarships of the concerned age group of classes VII and VIII.
NMMS Scholarship 2021: Objective
To provide financial assistance to meritorious students whose parental income is not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum from all sources.
NMMS Scholarship 2021: Rewards
Class 9 | Rs. 12000/- Per Annum |

The amount of scholarship will be 12,000/- per annum that is 1,000 per month in the class of 9, 10, 11, 12 if the applicants maintain the minimum percentage criteria.
The awardees should get minimum of 55% marks in Class IX and XI and 60% in Class X for continuance of scholarship (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in next higher classes.
Eligibility: Who can Apply?
- Class 8th pass student can apply but need to score minimum 55% (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in 8th standard.
- Annual Family Income must be less than 1,50,000/- per annum.
- Must be studying as regular students from government, government-aided and local body schools.
- Students who are enrolled in NVS, KVS, Sainik schools and private schools are not eligible for this MCM scholarship.
- For continuation of scholarship in higher secondary school, the candidate must score at least 60% marks in class 10 board exam.

NMMS Scholarship 2021: Selection Process
Each State/UT will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the NMMSS- National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests:

Application Process: How to Apply?
If you want to apply for NMMSS, you need to first fulfill the minimum required eligibility condition. Applicants can apply in online mode on National Scholarship Portal.
- Applicants applying on NSP for the first time need to register with NSP as a new user. Click on the New Registration and read the guidelines after accepting fill the Basic and personal details and submit. Now need to verify by entering OTP from the registered mobile number and generate a new strong password.
- After Registration needs to fresh login and fill in the required documents and upload the required documents.
- After submission of the form, candidates need to verify by their institution/college/university.
- An Application that is not verified either by the institute or by the concerned State Education Board or by both will be treated as “Invalid‟.
