NOTICE: The last date to apply for this Central Sector Scholarship Scheme is 31 November 2021 and Institute verification’s last date is 15 December 2021.

Every year 82,000 fresh scholarships per annum [41000 for boys and 41000 for girls] are awarded to the students who are pursuing graduation & postgraduation in colleges and universities and for professional courses, such as Medical, Engineering, etc. Both boys and girls get equal opportunity.

Objective:

To provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families and the aim is to promote higher education.

Rewards:

At Graduation LevelRs. 10000/- Per Annum
At Post Graduation LevelRs. 20000/- Per Annum
5-year Professional courseRs. 20,000/- in 4th & 5th year

In case, the Student pursuing professional courses, where the duration of the course is five (5) years Integrated course would get Rs.20000/- per annum in the 4th and 5th year. However, students pursuing technical courses such as B.Tech., BE would get scholarships up to graduation level.

Eligibility:

  1. The student should 12th pass with 80th percentile or above and pursuing regular courses in college or university.
  2. Should be pursuing a regular course in a college/institution recognized by the AICTE, Dental Council of India (DCI), Medical Council of India (MCI), UGC and other respective regulatory authorities.
  3. Pursuing graduation or postgraduation should not be from an open university or distance mode.
  4. Not be in receipt of any other scholarship.
  5. Annual Familly income should not be more than 8 Lakhs per annum from all sources.
  6. Pursuing diploma courses are not eligible.

Required Documents:

  1. Aadhar Card (In case aadhar is not assigned, aadhaar enrolment ID slip, driving license, voter ID, PAN Card, passport)
  2. Class12th Marksheet/Certificate
  3. Income Certificate
  4. Bank Details

Application Process:

Eligible candidates can apply for Central Sector Scholarship Scheme 2021-22 in online mode on NSP. The physical application would not be accepted. National Scholarship Portal is opened for online application in the month of June-July. So, the interested and eligible students can apply through National Scholarship Portal by following Steps:

  1. Applicants applying on NSP for the first time need to register with NSP as a new user. Click on the New Registration and read the guidelines after accepting fill the Basic and personal details and submit. Now need to verify by entering OTP from the registered mobile number and generate a new strong password.
  2. After Registration needs to fresh login and fill in the required documents and upload the required documents.
  3. After submission of the form, candidates need to verify by their institution/college/university.
  4. An Application that is not verified either by the institute or by the concerned State Education Board or by both will be treated as “Invalid‟.

Online Application Verify at two Level

  1. By the Institute where the student studies.
  2. By the respective State Education Board.

Selection Process:

Every year 82,000 fresh scholarships are distributed among students who are studying at colleges/universities. The total number of scholarships is divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State‟s population in the age group of 18-25 years.

The number of scholarships allotted to a State Education Board is distributed amongst pass outs of the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams in the ratio of 3:2:1. In case of a shortfall in the number of applications, the scholarship slots could be inter-changed.

Central Sector Scholarship 2021-22 is based on class 12th.
