Introduction

Duration of GNM course

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is 3 years and six months long diploma program. However, the academic program is 3 year long and there is an internship of six months. The internship can be done in any hospital whether it is private or government depending upon the institute.

Eligibility for GNM course

Minimum eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the aspirant who wishes to join the GNM course.

Academic Qualification-

• 10+2 with PCB stream from a recognized board.
• Minimum 45% is required in the 12th standard for general candidate and 40% is required for ST/SC/OBC candidate.

Age Limit-

A candidate must be above 17 years old and below 35 years in order to pursue the GNM course.
