- The candidate who wants to pursue BE course, have to pass class 12th with PCM stream.
- Physics, Chemistry, and Maths are mandatory subjects.
- Maximum 75% is required to get admission to BE course.

Admission mainly depends upon entrance examination. Some of the popular colleges/universities conduct their own entrance exams. The selection of specialization is purely dependent upon rank that came in the entrance exams. Some of the colleges give admission to BE courses on a merit basis.
So a candidate must have a minimum of 50 % in class 12th. It depends on the norms of college. Entrance exams are held at the national level, state level, and university level.
