Eligibility for B.Sc B.Ed
Students seeking admission to the BSc+B.Ed course for 4 years should fulfil certain eligibility requirements as the admission requirement, which may vary according to different colleges such as –
- Applicants must complete the 12th level examination or an equivalent examination from an approved board or school.
- In the 12th exam, the applicant must have chosen the science stream with main topics Physics, Chemistry/Biology and Mathematics.
- A minimum of 50% (45% for reserved candidates) in the 12th must be acquired by the candidate
B.Sc B.Ed Admission Process
Two different methods are involved in the admission process for the BSc + B. Ed double degree, direct admission and admission through Entrance exams.
The applicant may, through direct admission, be admitted based on the merit of the 12th or an equivalent examination’s marks obtained by the candidate.
Some universities, on the other hand, hold their own entrance exams to determine candidate’s eligibility. The qualifying candidates are required to take the admissions counselling, provide their documents and secure the seat for admission into an integrated BSc+B.Ed course based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.
Entrance Exams
1. CUCET- The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an all-India level entrance exam jointly administered by 14 central universities for admission to UG, PG, and Ph.D. program provided at all participating institutions/colleges.
2. Bihar Integrated B.Ed Common Entrance Test- The NCTE (National Council of Technical Education) administers the Bihar Integrated B.Ed Common Admission Test (CET), a state-level entrance exam. The test is held to shortlist applicants for admission to four-year integrated B.A.-B.Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed programmes at various Bihar participating colleges.
3. RIE CEE- The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) administers the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) to candidates seeking admission to Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) in Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Mysore, and Shillong.
4. JNUEE- The Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) is held to select students for undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil, PhD, and other integrated programs provided by the institution.
