The homeopathic system of medicine is much different from other medications like allopathy and ayurvedic system of medications. Like other medical courses, 1 year of Internship in hospitals is compulsory for students after 4.5 years of academic study.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum Qualification Required is 10+2, with minimum 50-60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • It is mandatory that a candidate must have studied the science stream with PCB or PCMB.
  • The minimum age of eligibility is 17 years. The upper age limit is 22 years for the Unreserved category and 24 for the Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC).

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR BHMS Course

In order to take admission for the BHMS course in any Government or Private colleges, candidates need to appear for Entrance exams, whether it be a National level (NEET), State level (MH CET, KEAM, BHU PMT), or University level (BVP CET).

Selection will be made on the basis of scores obtained either in National/State level entrance or in the University level entrance exam, which is approved by the Ministry of AYUSH.

The most common selection process for all the entrance exams is a counselling-based selection process, where the exam conducting body releases merit lists with names of all qualifying candidates.

Councelling rounds are conducted by the authorities where candidates need to appear to select the course and college as per their choice and interests. They will be allotted suitable colleges and courses according to their marks.

For Direct admissions in private universities, sometimes candidates need to show their NEET or any other Entrance exam score and other documents like Councelling letter or any other required document or they can take admissions based on their class 12th performance.
