BA B. Ed (Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Education) is a four-year undergraduate integrated program broken into eight semesters. Candidates interested in pursuing a career in teaching or other related disciplines should take this course.

All teachers in primary and secondary schools must have a bachelor’s degree in education i.e. B. Ed, which is a two-year program. For any candidate who wants to pursue B. Ed, graduation is compulsory. The study duration of any graduation course is three to four years.

The integrated course of BA B. Ed shortens the duration to four years and a candidate is going to have two degrees at the end of the program. Candidates will be able to save one year of their education as a result of this integrated course.

Eligibility Criteria for BA B. Ed

Candidates must meet specific qualifying requirements in order to pursue a double degree in BA + B.Ed. Students must meet the following requirements in order to be admitted to the BA + B. Ed program:

  • A candidate should have completed a 10+2 certification from a recognised school or board in any subject.
  • The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent (45 per cent for restricted candidates) in all subjects in the 12th exam.

Admission Process

The BA + B. Ed admissions procedure differs from college to college. Although some universities offer direct admission to courses based on a student’s performance in the 12th grade, others hold an institute-level entrance exam to determine a student’s eligibility for admission.
